Will be dedicated to upcoming Saturday Night Meetup events in Flemish, which are proposed to be films followed by discussions and visits to cafes or restaurants. The name for the Meetup will be 'Brussel Sprouts Meetup', or 'Sprouts' for short.
The first motion pictures were made just up the street from Mayfield on the Stanford horse farm in 1878. They were made by Eadweard Muybridge to answer the question of whether all four of a horses feet ever left the ground when trotting.
Muybridge called the device he used to turn photgraphs into "movies" a 'zoopraxiscope'. An alternate 19th century device that created a moving picture effect was the 'zoetrope', which in French is a 'zootrope'.
